Economic History
The Interuniversity (Universitat de Barcelona-Universidad Carlos III-Universitat de València) Doctoral Programme in Economic History (PIDHE) aims at training students in the field of economic history and economic development.

Research
Doctoral students undertake research in economic history or development under the guidance of experienced researchers.

Training
The interdisciplinary nature of economic history allows doctoral students to deal with sources and data, methods and theory. Likewis, carrying out research stimulates autonomy and critical thinking, essential aspects to develop an academic career or to work in the public and private sectors.

Vacancies
Regulated under Royal Decree 99/2011 and administered by the Doctoral School, each year 5 vacancies are offered. Our researchers currently supervise students in the following broad lines of research.

Vacancies
To be admitted, completed postgraduate studies (Masters degress), preferably in economic history, development or economics are requested. However, studies in related subjects would be considered.

– Academic record (45%)
– Curriculum vitae (30%)
– Letter of motivation (20%)
– Letters of recommendation (5%)
Funding
We are also open to host doctoral projects for competition in public calls such as the Formación de Profesorado Universitario-FPU contracts.
Further funding opportunities are available through the GVA, Formación de Personal Investigador-FPI contracts; Prometeo or Atracció del Talent.
